Is anyone else feeling a little anti-climatic this month? I guess after all the holiday prep it's to be expected that there would be a little static chaos (my expression for this feeling) following all the hoopla.
My way to deal with it is to make something or paint a little canvas and so this is what I spent the weekend painting hoping it would pull me out of my doldrums.
I am planning to do a few pencil drawings this week, something I haven't done in quite awhile, and maybe adding a touch of color with watercolor pencils!
Hey it might be fun and lift my flagging spirits!
How are you dealing with the after holiday slump? Or is it just me!!!
Tina xo
Oh, Tina, I would love a slump... Murphy has been following me around - everywhere!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to deal with a little static chaos!
ReplyDeleteThat painting certainly is expressive. My blues tend to come and go -- no real reason, just because. Probably hormonal. I just go with it. Become quiet. Quiet is good. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy
ReplyDeleteYes, I think we all go through this after all of the preparations, and then nothing much in Jan. Art helps me get over these slumps like this--it really is theraputic--keep creating!
ReplyDeleteLove these bright colors--and beautiful face.
Love this -- a modern folk art painting. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, something new and different. I like the feel of this one.
