Progress

It took a little work but I have done part of what I had set out to do and so far it is as I thought it would be. You can see I removed the drawers (which being used anyway) and am turning them in units for fabric. Inside the open space I will be putting a shelf so I can use that for storage also. So in a way I am doubling the usage of this old cabinet. It will need to be painted at some point, but so far I am happy with it! The shelf and mirror were also put up last night and give the space a cozy look. Still needs work but it's a start.

  2. Thanks Kiki! It's a beginning and that is all I asked of the Universe. I do feel a little pride about it, I will feel better still when I have it painted! Oh and the yellow walls too, I have no idea what I was thinking when I painted it that color...sheesh!

  3. Hi Tina...
A great idea with your cupboard,
It will certainly give you more storage space.
I love creating a place to work.
    I have three...
    because I'm a space hog!
    Jewelry room,
mixed media room and Sewing room.
I am thinking of combing the mixed media and sewing...
    just not quite enough room.
    We'll see!

Well, have fun creating your space,
    xoxo~Kathy @

  4. Hey Kathy, I have enjoyed your blog very much! Thanks for your comment. I have long wanted to create a small space for myself and because I am in a rental trailer needless to say I have limited space. Because this home is not mine I can't take walls down or put new ones up so I have to "make do". Until now most of my fabrics and trims were stored in tubs, now I can get some of them out and by seeing them I may get more inspiration!

  6. Hey there Angela, thanks for the comment. I am still looking through all my tubs for fabric and trim and then trying to devise a better and more efficient way to organize everything. I hope to make a dent in it this weekend! Have wonderful weekend and love to you and your family...xo
