Garden Room Painting

I am still enjoying working with texture A LOT!

I decided to try something Impressionistic for this one and I am happy with how it turned out.
I find it hard sometimes to just paint without preconceived ideas and structures, putting the paint where I feel it should be without wondering "does that make sense?"
I took this photo outside because the shadows from the sunlight help show up the texture more emphatically.
Well it is on to the next project and playing "catch-up" with everything else around here. Have a great Sunday!

  1. Hi Tina! To start, thank-you for your kind comments that you left on the loss of our girl Rudi. Three losses this year have really taken a toll, and I'm hoping that'll be it for now. My heart needs time to mend!

But I do want to say that I love your use of textures! I think using textures really enhances your work without changing it the feel of the piece...If that makes sense. I know that lots of times I don't! :-)

  7. Tina,

I just stopped by your etsy shop, your wok is wonderful.

You know if you go into your account and scroll down the left side-bar to etsy mini, you can check the boxes on your preference of appearance, and get the code for your sidebar to display your work.

    Have a great day.

  9. Tina,

Anytime you need a shortcut to how to do something on etsy, just drop me a note. If I don't know the answer I can probably direct you to someone who will. Here's a nice widget too: It's the one that has a little slide show on my sidebar. They are called Craftcult. I love them.

Here's the link to their widget:
    http://www.craftcult.com/shop_widget.php?userid=

You simply put in your etsy store name, then pick a theme, click slide or fade and autoplay. Click on how you want your items featured and then click GET WIDGET. Tadah you are done.

Now take the code and add a gadget. Use the HTML one, and paste the code.

Now you have a little store on your sidebar.

    Have a great day.
